MVIL Madang Ties

By Eric Haurupma – EM TV News, Port Moresby

Vehicle operators in Madang province will now register their vehicles with Madang Provincial Government under a new partnership arrangement between Motor Vehicle Insurance Limited (MVIL) and the Madang Provincial Government.

This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between MVIL and the Madang Provincial Government today in Port Moresby.

Madang was the second last province in the country to have signed a MOU to accommodate vehicle registration.

The agreement signing process was officiated today through an instrument signing between MVIL Chief Executive Officer, Joe Wemin, and Madang District Administrator, Daniel Aloi.

Under this new partnership arrangement, MVIL will work together with the Madang Provincial Government to conduct vehicle registration and insurance services to monitor the capacity of vehicles transported into the province.

He said this prerogative is an integral part of MVIL plans to provide a cost effective and efficient way of service delivery as stipulated under Vision 2050.

Madang Provincial Administrator, Daniel Aloi, said through this great partnership Madang Provincial Government will see reform in core areas of service delivery.
