Up to eight sporting codes successfully wrapped up a week long challenge for the Muthuvel Cup in Kimbe.
The Muthuvel Cup orthe Governor’s cup has wind down its competition overthe weekend with strong challenge from Kimbe Urban and ther local teams.
Kimbe Urban took out allthe first prizes in Volleyball, Touch Rugby, Basketball, Softball and Rugby Nines.
A good challenge came from ther Districts with Laheri from Mosa that came first inthe men’s soccer while inthe womens Hoskins Watingo tookthe first spot.
The Hoskins ladies topthe ladder in Netball and in Softballthe Eagles from Beli Vitu proverd too good.
Governor Sasindran Muthuvel withnessedthe presentation and congratulated allthe teams that participated.
Bealla will bethe host for the next Governors Cup.
Meantime, Under-16 soccer girls from Bealla in Kimbe will representthe Province inthe Under-16 National Soccer Tournament in Lae come July.
