The team went straight into the camp to prepare for their first season proper game against competition heavyweights, Redcliffe.


The SP PNG Hunters arrived today and were welcomed by the media at the Jackson’s International terminal. 


The players looked relaxed as they strolled past, after having a busy weekend with the Intrust Super Cup Clubs, in a number of trial games played throughout Queensland.



The Hunters came to glory in the first opening trial match against the Northern Pride, but there’s room for improvement, which were obvious when they played CQ Caprass.


Star Studded Viper’s half-back Israel Eliab, piloted the trial matches and was pleased with what he saw. However, he says they still need more work done, especially with ball handling.


The Hunters five-eighth assures the coaching staff has taken heed of the areas that they need to look at. 


The boys went straight to their camp and will continue their training sessions before they lock horns with the Redcliffe Dolphins, who defeated Norths Devils 20-16, and will be waiting to welcome the newcomers to their turf come in March 2nd.
