Morobe Ideal For Games

The Morobe Province is an ideal venue to host the 6th PNG Games.

PNG Games Chairman, Phil Franklin, made this known today at the announcement of Bank South Pacific coming on board as the naming rights sponsor of the Games.

BSP brand ambassadors Toea Wisil, who is also the PNG Games Ambassador, along with Ryan Pini, will feature prominently at the games.

Toea Wisil blitzed into a star from the PNG Games and is a fine example of how the Games identify and project local talent onto the world stage.

Wisil is the 6th PNG Games Ambassador and will join forces with Scott Prince, who shares her status as a role models for the upcoming athletes who will be taking part in the Games.

Wisil is the BSP Brand Ambassador and the official major sponsor of the 2015 Pacific Games.

The Host Organizing Committee is committed to taking the Games to a new level.  Today they announced BSP as naming rights sponsor of the Games.

Host Organizing Committee Chairman Phil Franklin commended BSP for supporting the Games while acknowledging the leading support thrown in for the Pacific Games.

Mr. Franklin says the PNG Games will provide athletes with a pathway to higher standards of competition.

Mr. Franklin says Morobe is an ideal venue to host the games and has seen commitments coming from the Morobe Provincial and District Local level Governments.

He says security-wise, the province has hosted national events before and this will be no different to hosting the Games.

Mr. Franklin also spoke about how Scott Prince’s ambassadorship for the Games came to be.

The 6th PNG Games are expected to be an exciting and unique PNG sporting and cultural event as they prepare to host the major event on home soil.
