Momis: Respect Rule of Law

Bougainville President Chief John Momis has called on Bougainvilleans to respect the rule of law.

Speaking in this week's Bougainville Executive Council meeting, Chief Momis said as referendum draws near, Bougainville can't afford to waste any more time on law and order problems.

He said the recent commandeering of vehicles by the Hagogohe Home guards was one example of disrespecting Bougainville laws.

Starting next year, Chief Momis said the trend of commandeering vehicles and demanding payments will stop.
