Efforts bythe Electoral Commission have failed to get Momase region provincial administrations to signthe MoA for the Local-level Government elections.
All Momase Provincial Administrators were absent fromthe workshop organized bythe Commission this week in Wewak, East Sepik Province.
Electoral Commissioner Andrew Trawen said this was a setback inthe LLG elections preparations and he hopes it won’t happen inthe ther three regions.
The MoA outlines resourcing and co-operation betweenthe Commission and provincial administrations for the LLG elections.
LLG workshop for the Highlands region will be held next week in Goroka whilethe New GuineaIslands and Southern region workshops will both be held simultaneously atthe end of this month due to time factor.
