MHL Supports SME Policy Launch

Mainland Holdings Limited a strong supporter of the SME sector today donated K50, 000 to assist in the launch of the SME policy tonight.

Mainland Holdings Limited parent company of Niugini Tablebirds is the major supplier of chicken eggs and meat throughout Papua New Guinea has been at the fore of developing the SME sector.

An Integral part of its out grower program were sales of day old chicks and stockfeeds to customers and the harvesting of crocodile eggs in the Sepik plain.

Today saw the presentation of K50, 000 cheque by MHL Marketing Manager Eunice Gware to the National Development Bank in Port Moresby. 

This cheque will go towards the launching of the SME policy which will be underway tonight in the Nation’s Capital.

Representing Trade, Commerce and Industry Minister Richard Maru to receive this cheque was National Development Chairman William Lamur.

“This revised SME policy is Minister Maru’s prerogative to empower people to fully participate in the economic development of this country”, he said.

Upon receiving the cheque, Mr Lamur thanked Mainland Holdings Limited for their continuous support towards assisting the SME sector.
