Mendi RFL Sets Conditions

Mendi Muruks Chief Executive Officer Robert Posu has denlied receiving in black and white conditions set bythe Mendi Rugby Football League.

Mendi Rugby Football League has threatened to call off this weekend’s Digicel Cup match if none oftheir conditions are met by Friday.

This follows a resolution passed during its second Annual General Meeting.

The conditions made were to retain former Muruks players and management and to pay Mendi League to organize its club games.

Failure to comply withthe conditions beforethe end ofthe week will result a forfeited two pointer to Mt. Hagen Eagles.

Chief Executive Officer Robert Posu in a phone interview this afternoon said, Muruks were not aware ofthe conditions and have not receive any form of documents from Mendi Rugby Football league.

Mr. Posu said, it is a joint partnership and he understood thatthey have had an understanding dialogue.

He said thatthe former players are Southern Highlanders and are welcome anytime onthe team.

However, Minute Secretary and Treasurer for Mendi League Berclay Tenza assured thatthey have handedthe conditions in black and white last Tuesday beforethe meeting was held. Tenza also confirmed that Muruks Management was not present atthe meeting.
