Established in 1974, Mendi hospital isthe only referral hospital for the Southern Highlands Province. The hospital is stretched tothe limit trying to cater for the increase in patients.
It has being giventhe same budget of K10.8m for the last five years. Bet it needs K15m yearly to operate.
This budget constraint has resulted inthe hospital facing acute shortage of medical equipment’s.
