Biapuri village is situated in the Moge Kimininga area of Western Highlands province. They are part of the Moge tribe that lives around Mt Hagen city.
The place was once known as the breeding ground of criminals and drug addicts.
But after a four-day crusade that was held in their village, it has transformed the villagers.
A total of 134 drug addicts and criminals surrendered their lives to God.
Altogether, the Biapuri community supported the transformation and subsequently uprooted K20,000 worth of marijuana from the village.
Pastor David Dii from the Life in the Spirit Ministries led the community in marching in Mt Hagen.
They all carried marijuana plants to show the people of the city that they have changed and are improving.
They promised to keep the city safe, and handed their plants to the police.
The seized marijuana plants were later destroyed.
