Maru looks at investing in large scale agriculture

Minister for Trade, Commerce and Industry Richard Maru is looking at investing in large scale agriculture.

After a recent visit to his electorate, it was apparent that basic services were either non-existent or in a run-down state.

Mr Maru said he is looking at re-introducing cattle into the area and will be talking to experts and potential investors to start up agriculture projects.

He is urging people to free up their land to develop their electorate.

Minister Maru is currently working on road infrastructure for his Yangoru/Saussia electorate, in the East Sepik province.
