Popular R&B singer-song writer, Mario, rocked the stage yesterday as he performed at the Cosmopolitan in Port Moresby.
This is part of the Mario Soul Truth tour, and Papua New Guinea was his first stop before heading to New Zealand and Australia. It was a great turnout at the Cosmopolitan night club as Mario fans flocked in to see the star perform live.
The place was already packed by 9pm when local band, Nisian Mystic, took the stage and performed some popular songs sung by both international and local artists. Other bands like Animal Audio and Naka Blood also performed.
By 11pm, the audience went wild as Mario and his personal DJ took the stage. Mario sang some of his popular hits like, How Do I Breathe and Let me love you.
From the huge crowd, Helen Ken from a mixed parentage of Wabag and Chimbu was the lucky one who caught Mario’s towel, and was asked to go on stage. She got a hug from Mario and wiped him down to return the favour.
After an awesome performance, Mario left the stage in the hands of his DJ, who kept the crowd on their feet.
