Madang FC Defeats Oro, Hekari and POM FC Draw Nil-all in NSL Round 5

Round five of the Telikom National Soccer League competition heated up with the double header between Hekari and FC Port Moresby; and Madang taking on the Oro FC.

Hekari took on FC Port Moresby with exciting and fiery style of football.

The defend champs kept on the pressure of the POM FC side which had struggled in recent weeks, but came out in full force with their outstanding defence, keeping the champions at bay. The match ended in a scoreless draw.

The Port Moresby FC proving that they are a force to be reckoned with, this season.

The second match of the double header, between the Madang and Oro FC, saw the lads from the beautiful seaside town thrash Oro by three goals to nil in a clinical five-minute spell, late in the second half.

Madang FC, taking advantage of Oro’s weak defence, to triumphantly wrap up the game.

The Madang-side has returned to the Telikom National Soccer League competition, in impressive form, out to improve their game and showcase the potential of the team.

At their debut earlier this month, Madang FC Club Chairman, Kevin Murray, said that the game brought a whole new level. He stated that Madang FC is set to face the big guns in the business.
