This Friday will be treated as a normal working day for businesses in Madang, and employees who stay at home to join the nationwidework boycott, will be noted as absent from official duty.
President of the Madang Chamber of Commerce, Kevin Murray, says business houses cannot afford to shut down for a full day and lose income from a day’s operation.
Mr Murray explains the reason is also compounded by the current economic situation, where businesses are struggling to stay afloat.
