Lukim PNG Nau Expo To Boost PNG’s Tourism Sector

Local tourism operators have an opportunity to establish business ties with overseas tourism agencies through the annual “Lukim PNG Nau” tourism expo.

The event is organized by the PNG Tourism Industry Association in partnership with the PNG Tourism Promotion Authority.

Thirty-two local operators are expected to partner with 35 overseas travel agents; however, applications are still open for interested local operators to get involved.

Executive Officer of the PNG Tourism Industry Association, Rosa Manoa-Maitava, said this was an event that PNG can be proud of in terms of the diverse topography in which our local tourism operators can show their services and products.

The expo can link tourist-attraction seekers directly to PNG’s local operators through overseas agencies that will be here in September to liaise and build business partnerships.

Public engagement has also been encouraged

Our local tourism operators can benefit from expos as such, especially at a time when PNG is experiencing major infrastructure developMen’s to accommodate a booming economy.
