A landowner group from Kavieng in New Ireland is serious about developing land for commercial purposes.
It wants to turn a block into a real estate hub of Kavieng Township.
Withthe increased number of fraudulent land deals inthe country,the National Housing Corporation gavethe titles after right procedures were followed.
The landowner company in this case is MatubagaLandowners Association. The Executives were available atthe NHC Beardroom to sealthe deal.
Underthe Memorandum of Understanding,the landowners will developthe 15 blocks of land for commercial purposes while NHC will build houses for rent.
They say after 23 years, Kavieng Township can be transformed into a business hub.
Meanwhile, in a mover to crack – down fraudulent land deals, a former employee of National Housing Corporation was prosecuted for defraudingthe state. He isthe first to be prosecuted while NHC investigate twenty five more cases.
