LO Companies combine to develop petroleum industry

Two landowner companies have decided to come togther to help developthe petroleum industry.

They are Hides Gas Development Corporation and Kutmor, a landowner company that covers Moran through tothe border of Gulf and Southern Highlands Province.

The relationship agreement was signed yesterday atthe Oil Search Head Office in Port Moresby.

Oil Search conference room was filled with representatives from Hides Gas Development Corporation, led by Chairman Leme Parindali.  And KutMor, represented by Operations Manager Livai Dugutara.

The agreement covers training, capacity building for employees of both companies. It also covers technical and management of staff. Beth parties agreedthe LNG Project requires collective efforts. Thisthey have demonstrated by mobilisingtheir resources to developthe petroleum industry.

They saythe MOA provides such for Kutmor and Hides Gas Development Corporation (HGDC).

Kutmor covers landowners from Moran PDL6 through to Kantobo, onthe border of Gulf and Southern Highlands. While, Hides Development Gas Corporation is a landowner company that covers landowners from Hides PDL One, Seven, Angore PDL8, Juha PDL9, Komo Airport and Beneria.

HGDC plans to hold talks with Laba Holdings,the umbrella company for Portion 152Landowners ofthPNG LNG Project for similar partnership arrangements soon.

Meantime, Global giantoTotal has declared its keen interest in oil and gas exploration inthe country.

The French company already has a partnership agreement with Oil Search.

Total is number two inthe LNG business inthe world. And, Prime Minister Peter O’Neill welcomedthe interest.
