Air Niugini’s subsidiary company, Link PNG, made history on Monday 29 May with an all female operating crew.

Air Niugini Cabin Standards Trainer, Elizabeth Talum, observed this unique scenario saying “It was truly beautiful and safe just like the picture here”.

Flight PX 900/901 which departed Port Moresby for Tabubil, Western Province, is recorded in the national airline’s history, operated by the first all-female aircrew led by Captain Beverly Pakii, First Officer, Nicole Koleala and cabin crews, Julie Tamdodo, Ulato Avei and Veapi Ranu.

Link PNG Chief Executive Officer, Captain Daniel Wanma, says this is a milestone achievement for women because for the first time, all Papua New Guinean female Link PNG crew flew a scheduled flight.

Their story represents a changing industry and a realistic growth in gender diversity.
