A typical family (The Powell's) are in an emotional rut, and in an effort to revive his family Jim Powell takes his family on vacation, but their plane crashes into the Amazon River. They soon realize that their ordinary lives have changed for the better when they discover they have extraordinary abilities. Each family member now possesses superpowers, and they must figure out how best to utilize their abilities while trying to keep the appearance of being normal.
