PNG Swimmer Leonard Kalate completed his 50meter swim event in a time of 31.45 seconds.
Kalate, who arrived back in the country recently, says he learnt a lot from the Youth Olympics, with his focus now on training harder to perform better.
PNG Olympic Committee Auvita Rapilla, and Team PNG General Manager Lua Rikis, were present to witness Kalate’s final event.
According to Chef de Mission, Karo Lelai these international events are a wonderful opportunity for young athletes to develop and constantly improve.
Kalate and coach, Ashley Seeto returned home this week to make it in time for Leonard’s exams at the University of Technology.
