Leo Sayer here for Operation Open Heart

A celebrity flavor has been added tothe annual operation open heart fundraising drive withthe arrival ofthe international singer songwriter Leo Sayer.

He will be performing his famous song “You make me feel like Dancing” among thers in a two night concert.

The Operation Open Heart team has been visiting Papua New Guineasince 1993.

TheInternational Singer Song writer arrived in Port Moresby on Wednesday looking calm and collected.

He was met bythe patron for the operation open heart Justin Tkatchenko and members ofthe orchid society.

He brings with him his celebrity status to raise funds for the annual operation open heart.

Patron Justin Tkatchenko saysthe objective is to raise over a million kina for this year’s operation.

And Leo Sayer would definitely make you feel like giving when he performs in a two night’s concert. Sayer is delighted to part of this event and hopes to give back through his music.

The objective ofthe Operation Open Heart program is to provide cardiac surgery tothe developing countries as well as educating local staff.

It has achieved a faster rate of service, which is 707 patients in 17 years with an acceptable low mortality of 1.8 per cent.
