by Dion Kombeng – EM TV Sports, Port Moresby

Rugby League fans in the nation’s capital are eagerly looking forward to the arrival of the Australian Kangaroos today, ahead of this weekend’s Prime Ministers XIII clash at the Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.

Port Moresby fans are also excited to see some of their favorite NRL stars take the field.

For the past four years, the PMs XIII match has been played outside of Port Moresby, and this year, it will come back to the nation’s capital where the game will be played at the new look Sir John Guise Stadium.

Avid rugby league fans in Port Moresby are eager for this weekend’s big game, the most important game to be played here in the capital for a number of years.

Rugby League fans always look forward to the PMXIII clash, as it provides an opportunity for them to catch a glimpse of their NRL heroes who are a part of the Kangaroos team.

The PNG Kumuls are yet to win a Prime Minister’s XIII clash since the annual match began in 2005, with the closest the Kumuls having come to victory being in 2007 when they drew 24-all.
