Law wins in the end: Bawa

At least four areas in the National Capital have been singled out as extremely wet this holiday period.

Police said they have traded liquor beyond normal hours.

DCA Compound, Morata, Eight Mile and Nine Mile have now become the focus of NCD’s Special Christmas Operations.

On Wednesday night several people were arrested for consuming alcohol in public places, trading liquor beyond normal hours and illegally selling liquor without licensed premises.

Superintendent Andy Bawa explained that normal liquor trading hours; are 10am to 10pm.  Clubs that don’t comply will be dealt with.

It was also established during the patrol that many taxis operated illegally. They were either unregistered or were driven by unlicensed drivers.

Bawa warned that those who break laws will eventually know that laws always win in the end.
