Minister, Benny Allan, announced today that the first workshop will be held in Port Moresby, for the Southern Region.
Next will be Hagen for the Highland’s region, Kokopo for the New Guinea Islands and Lae for the Momase region.
The Workshops will be held in May.
One of the new reviews to be proposed by the department is that land title applications will be restricted to nationals only.
Another review is for the lands board to be given the authority to choose final applicants, instead of the Land Minister, to allow transparency in the land title selection process.
Minister Benny Allan is calling on all government agencies, NGOs and the general public to come along to the workshops to give their input on what should be reviewed.
