Lae student in recovery from brutal attack

A former Lae Secondary School student is recovering from injuries to his back and hands after he was brutally attacked by students on Sunday afternoon.

The 19-year-old was confronted by a group of more than twenty outside the Eriku Big Rooster where they proceeded to punch him.

One of the students reportedly swung a knife and tried to cut him several times.

He also suffered knife wounds to his ankle and other injuries to his fingers and back.

It is understood the attack was in retaliation to the death of   the Bugandi student who was killed last week.
