Lae Secondary School Graduation

Over 300 Grade 12 students of Lae Secondary School graduated with flying colours today.

More than 500 friends and family members attended the graduation at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Indoor Stadium.

Dulciana Somare-Brash attended for her father, Grand Chief Michael Sombre, who was invited to the ceremony.

Somare-Brash speaking on behalf of her father said it is a proud moment for any student to graduate.

Somare-Brash said the students are the result of hardworking parents and guardians who were there to witness the graduation.

She said Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare made a contribution of K60,000 towards building a Students Resource Centre for the Secondary School.

She encouraged the students to be united as Papua New Guineans in order to be good citizens.

The students graduated with certificates, along with academic and sports awards.
