Kwary Return Match

A return match was played today between Kwaru, a team from Kerema in the Gulf Province and the Kaugere Borderline Steelers at the Sir William Skate Oval at Kaugere.

The boys from Kwaru in Kerema Gulf Province travelled up to Port Moresby on Wednesday to play a return match with the Kaugere Borderline Steelers. This was the Second time the boys were meeting. The first match was played in Kwaru on September 16th 2013 which saw Kaugere Steelers triumphing over the Kwarus.

 

It was all down and dirty as the Gulf Poi’s from Kwaru in red and white gave Borderline Steelers in the Blue and yellow an unforgettable match. The Gulf boys made sure their trip was worthwhile.

 

Kuma Vere from the organizing committee said it was a friendly match for the two teams.

 

The match was won by Kaugere Borderline Steelers who were a much stronger side winning 10 points to 6 over the Gulf boys.
