Kone Tigers Oval Lacks Facilities

Share the News

Despite more than seven years of hosting POM Suburban Rugby League, the Kone Tigers Oval has not seen much improvement.

The oval lacks a proper water supply, ablution blocks to cater for players, and the ground played on is in need of an upgrade.

Suburban league has been conducting matches on this field for a long time, but nothing has been done to improve the facilities.

The games hosted have contributed immensely to the growth of rugby league; however the oval has become an eyesore due to neglect.

It has been a struggle for POM Suburban Rugby League to maintain the ground due to the dry weather, and that too has resulted in many injuries sustained by players.

Lack of facilities however has not stopped players at Kone Tigers Oval from continuing to compete in bigger competitions, such as the Southern Zone Rugby League comp.
