The Morobe Governor and Kabwum MP, Bob Dadae, have been challenged to prove their political worth by people in the Komba LLG of the Kabwum District.
The call made in Satwag village by local leaders comes amid frustration over difficulty in accessing government services.
Satwag is a 13-hour walk to the nearest access road that leads to Kabwum Station.
As Port Moresby boasts multi million kina infrastructure development praised and condemned on social media, Satwag village in the Komba LLG remains unconnected by road with its health post without a health worker.
The delegation announced the opening of 68 new projects which included teacher houses. But the frustrations of the people remain.
Komba was one of several places in Kabwum hard hit by the drought earlier in the year. Relief supplied to the villages in this region was inadequate restricted by funding and transport problems.
The Morobe Governor travelled last Sunday to Satwag. A trip which included a cash handout of 20 thousand kina in cash. And clutching the cash in one hand, the LLG president, Yunke Mulubiang, lashed out at the Kabwum MP, Bob Dadae.
Much of this area remains unconnected by road. The only way to get to these inland areas is by walking for flying in by plane. It is expensive for people in the villages.
