It was alleged that on January 12 this year, defendants Toksey Jacob and an accomplice wounded the fingers of Matthew Iovane, and raped American, Michele Clemens, near Efogi village along the Kokoda Track.
Medical reports provided by Dr. Robin Sios of Paradise Private Hospital detected evidence that the victim had been sexually penetrated 24 hours before the incident, but there was no clinical evidence of rape.
Today, the police prosecutor sought an adjournment in court on circumstances that the victims are out of the country, thus giving them time to submit their evidence.
