It is Official! Kelly Clarkson just welcomed her very own Lil Miss Independent with Husband Brandon Blackstock.
Clarkson, 32, tweeted the news yesterday and said, “Our River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12! Thankyou everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on Cloud 9!!”
The original American Idol first announced last November on twitter, “I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever!
Despite the incredible news, her pregnancy was not as exciting considering the fact that her morning sickness got the best of her.
“I vomit a good dozen times a day. It's, like, bad, the songstress told Ellen Degeneres…. “You’re not attractive when you're pregnant. Everybody tells you glow and you're hair is pretty and you're nails are pretty. That's total crap. My nails are short, my hair still falls out like it's not all lush and beautiful and I have no glow”, she went on.
“Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!” she tweeted a month earlier.
They did not fuss about the Gender or the name. The couple was just excited about the pregnancy despite its downsides.
“Honestly, the name we've picked , if it’s a boy or a girl, it’s the same name,” she told Degeneres at that time. “You won’t guess it. It’s a random name. But it’s not like … ‘Blue Jazz.’ It’s not going to be a weird name.”
And the name is not weird at all huh?… We all Welcome River Rose Blackstock!
