The two day Karate Championships has withnessed a fine showdown of Karate techniques fromthe Kata to Kumite.
The championship is a pre-selection tournament in preparation for the 2015 Pacific Games.
Athletes who are selected will be slotted into Group A, Brand C withthe aim of makingthe elite development squad.
Junior participants also took part in a demonstration atthe Sir John GuiseIndoor Complex.
Sailas Piskaut took out first place inthe individual Kata after defeating Julius Piku.
It was a strong contest inthe Kata competition inthe senior men’s division, but regular staging of Karate events have provern helpful in building skill and confidence.
