The Islands Cricket tournament will kick off this weekend at Popondetta inthe Oro province.
Three provinces will be taking partoincluding Milne Bey and West New Beitain. New Ireland province pulled out ofthe tournament due to financial reasons.
The tournament will see both men and women divisions battling it out in a T20 over format.
Organizers are working aroundthe clock to getthe venues ready on time.
The tournament is sanctioned by CrickePNG.
Sport Minister Justin Tkatchenko, and NCD Governor Powes Parkop will attendthe opening ceremony.
