Inter-Continental Cup Match Kicks Off Today

The Inter-Continental Cup Match kicked-off today in Port Moresby.

The PNG Hebou Barramundis were the first to take the bat, of this four day match.

Batting first for 96 overs, the Barramundis lost 3 top order batsmen, after 28 overs.

Vani Vagi Morea bowed out after 12 runs of 25 balls, Lega Siaka, 5/ 10 and Sese Bau 7/24.

Skipper Assad Vala maintained Batsman-ship throughout the day, landing the Barras a massive 100 runs with boundaries after boundaries.

Mahuru Dai replaced Sese Bau and secured the Barras an extra 24 runs before being bowled out as well.

Namibia’s attacking prowess weakened as the overs climbed to 66.

More than an hour later, Barras were chasing the remaining 6 overs when John Boge Reva replaced Mahuru Dai on the crease.

The day ended with the Barras standing at 9/294 after 93 overs.

Assad Vala still remains on the crease with 136 runs and counting while; Willie Gavera replaced John Boge Reva on the crease with runs secured.

Barras will have to chase the remaining 3 overs tomorrow, followed by the Namibia side batting.
