Medical wastes at Health Centres in Western Province will now be disposed effectively using incinerators, thanks tPNG Sustainable Development Program and AT Project.
This essential equipment has been lacking in most ofthe 21 health centres but that’s about to change.
About 20 medical waste incinerators are currently being installed in Kiunga withthe first one delivered to Kiunga Central Montfort Urban Clinic.
The incinerators will not only burn medical waste but also disposethe ashes three meters below in a pit.
