The country’s watchdog has announced the new retail fuel prices for this month, with motorists set to dig deeper into their pockets, with prices for petrol, diesel, and kerosene, all seeing increases.
In Port Moresby; Petrol prices will increase by 3.97 toea per litre to K3.76 per litre, Diesel prices increase by 5.82 toea per litre to K3.46 per litre, and Kerosene will increase by 0.63 toea per litre – to K3.16 per litre.
For outside centres, prices will increase as follows; Petrol prices will decrease by 3.97 toea per litre, Diesel prices increase by 5.82 toea per litre, and Kerosene prices will increase by 0.63 toea per litre.
According to the ICCC, an in world oil prices in the month of August has been attributed to the increase of maximum prices set for this month.
The new prices come into effect on the 8th of September.
