Hunters Head into Camp

By Jaylee Sapias – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

Following the announcement of the 36 man train-on squad in Port Moresby last week, the SP PNG Hunters are set to go into a pre-season training camp tomorrow at the IPA College in Port Moresby.

Earlier speculation over the future of former captain Israel Eliab has that the star player is moving to the UK.

Although Eliab is yet to formally confirm this, Hunters Coach, Michael Marum, has told the media that he is linked to a deal with English team, the London Broncos.

This however leaves an open opportunity for newer members of the Hunters, as they prepare for another crack at the top prize in the Intrust Super Cup. 19 new inclusions have been named in the 2016 pre-season train-on squad.

Coach Marum says he is pleased with the new additions and is optimistic the youngsters will be able to fill the roles of those left behind.
