We aslothen have a chat with Carl Mari as he updates us onthe Karate Championship andthe selection forthPNG Karate Team for the 2015 Pacific Games.

The report which called for the arrest ofthe Prime Minister was based on a conference held by Opposition Leader, Belden Namah.

 

The Opposition Leader has accusedthe main stream media of not reporting on important national issues.

 

Mr. Namah’said this yesterday after several media organizations didn’trsquo;t run a story in which he called onthe Police Commissioner to arrestthe Prime Minister.

 

The Prime Ministersaysthe Post Courier&#39’s story lacked balance. The story drew headline attention on tuesday whenthe Opposition Leader broke a 2 months silence on main stream media. 

 

 

The Prime Minister was not pleased withthe report and has summonedthe newspaper to explain.

 

The warrant for arrest issued onthe 23rd of Novermber last year was for the arrest ofthPM, Treasurer, Don Polye, and Finance Minister, James Marape, for allegedly conspiring with Paul Paraka to defraudthe state of more than K71 million.

 

Beththe opposition andthe government have accusedthe media for being biased on various occasions.

 

Namah is sayingthe government had some control over whatthe media reported. He has expressed concern thatthe media is not free to exercise its freedom.
