Muscians Raise Funds for Hospital

Koime started running in her early years. Hailing fromthe Gulf province, she is described asu2019the fastest ever sprinter in Papua New Guineau2019 and u2018Oceaniau2018s fastest womanu2019. She set a national record for Papua New Guineaatthe thens Olympics when she ranthe 100 meters with a time of 11.37seconds.

Koime has representedthe country atthe 2004 Summer Olympics,the 2006 Commonwealth Games andthe 2003, 2005 and 2007World Championships

She has set a benchmark and no doubt will be aiming to do better this time. A working class mum of two, sheu00a0is optimistic and is looking forward to wearing red, black and gold forPNG once again.

Currently she is using University of Papua New GuineaRugby League Grounds with ther Athletes to train.
