Hekari aims to retain title

Defending Champions ofthe Telikom National Soccer League Hekari United FC are set for this weekend’s game away against newcomers West New Beitain Tavur FC in Kimbe.

The team is hard at training atthe Lloyd Robson Oval in Port Moresby.

Hekari is serious withthe challenge this year asthey want to retaintheir title. This will require commitment and effort from individual players.

The team is gthering atthe Lloyd Robson Oval for training. They did physical fitness and had a small game afterwards.

According to Coach Jerry Allen, Hekari has a strong side and is set for the match againstthe West New Beitain Tavur Football Club this weekend in Kimbe.

Round six ofthe competition kicks off this weekend andthe boys hope to playtheir best and to maintaintheir winning streak andthe top position onthe ladder.

Coach Allen says, Hekari is takingthese matches as preparation towardsthe O- league or now known asthe OFC Championship.

The Competition will see eight ofthe Pacific’s best teams, from seven OFC member association countries participate.

The Championship kicks off atthe end of this month as Hekari play hosts to Fiji Be. They hope to make it through tothe finals.
