Hawaii will host the next Festival of Pacific Arts.
This was announced at the official closing at Guam on Saturday, June 4.
This will be the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts that will be held in Hawaii and they have four years to prepare.
Discussions regarding the 13th Festival focused on the importance of setting timelines in preparation of the Festival to ensure logistical issues are addressed well in advance and delegations are fully prepared.
In the 27th Council of Pacific Arts and Culture Meeting, it was recommended and endorsed by the Minister’s that Fiji will host the 14th Festival of Pacific Arts.
The council received Fiji’s expression of interest for the 14th Festival of Pacific Arts in 2024, which was supported by the council and looks forward to receiving their bid at the 28th Council Meeting in 2018.
