Haunted Homes

Psychic Mia Dolan, paranormal activity investigator Mark Webb and academic Dr. Chris French try to help families who think their house is haunted.

This was the concern raised by Director of National Research Institute, Dr. Thomas Webster.

Dr.Webster also raised the issue about the large number of candidates nominating to contest in this year’s election.

The National Research Institute yesterday had its third and final seminar on the presentations of Party platforms by political parties. Other two parties who accepted the invitation to present at the seminar were Pangu Pati and PNG Constitutional Democratic Party.

Parliamentary leader of PNG Country Party, Thompson Harokaq’veh delivered the party’s platform highlighting agriculture as the key area. Endorsing a total of 67 candidates for this election, PNG Country party‘s Second priority area is rural development.

While thanking those three political parties who have taken a stand to make their commitments known to the voters, NRI’s director Thomas Webster said the voters can now draw a clear link between the parties and their policies.

He said it was unfortunate that only 3 showed interest out of the 46 political parties and so voters should question the existence of these parties. Dr. Webster raised concern about the large number of political parties and number of candidates contesting the election.

The three political parties have met with NRI researchers to reframe and streamline the policies in the view to improve the platforms to capture the idea of what the parties stood for.
