Governor General, Grand Chief Sir Bob Dadae, and his wife, Lady Hannah will arrive in the country today to a military guard of honour at Jacksons International Airport.
Yesterday Sir Bob met with the President of Singapore Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam at Istana, Singapore.
The courtesy call by the Governor General on the President is the first of its kind by a Governor General and seeks to strengthen bilateral ties between PNG and Singapore, since the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries in 1976.
Grand Chief Sir Bob traveled to the United Kingdom to be commissioned by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as the 10th Governor General of Papua New Guinea.
