Golfers Prepare for next Weekend

Organizers ofthPNG Golf Open are looking atthe heavens for some fine wether forthPNG Open next weekend.

This year’s open in Port Moresby is set to be contested keenly with better prize money and widen representation.

Amongstthe sixty eight golfers confirmed to challenge, four local professionals August Peni, Robert Peni, Nelson Gabriel and David Yare will also try to maketheir mark.

Since Australia is closer to Papua New Guinea it hasthe largest number of golfers participating.

Defending Champion Paul Spargo from Australia will be back to defend his title but has a good challenge ahead of him.

Organizers are praying for a fine wether for next week’s event that begins withthe Pro Am.

Tournament Director Darren Stocks in a news conference today said, preparations are positive but only few things to tidy up beforethe tournament kicks off.
