Since 2003, Global Fund has committed approximately $US150 million in funding tPNG.
This has seen tothe distribution of over 5.3 million insecticide treated bed nets andthe reduction of malaria incidence rate by more than two-thirds.
And, almost twelve thousand HIV positive people now have access to anti-retroviral treatment sincethe establishment of VCCT clinics in 2004.
The Global Fund is an international financing institution dedicated to disbursing resources to prevent and treat HIV and AIDS, TBrand malaria.
Visiting Global Fund executive Dr Debrework Zewdie recently commendedthe government and said it is importanPNG continues to partner withthem to implementthe National Health plan.
