Genia took a weekend off to POM

Queensland Reds and Australian Wallabies Half back Will Genia saysthe Reds will have to recover quickly fromtheir loss in order to qualify for the finals.

Genia arrived in Port Moresby on Friday to withnessthe finals ofthe FORU Cup, while takingthe weekend off Super 15’s.

The Wallaby and Queensland Reds maestro says he’s happy for the Pukpuks and hopesthey can go a step futher intheir plight to one day playing intheWorld Cup.

Meantime,the “William Webb Ellis” cup was on display on Friday night atthe New Zealand High Commissioner’s residence.

The Cup was brought intothe country by Oceania Rugby Union General Manager William Glenwright as part oPNG’s privilege of hostingthe FORU Cup between Tahiti, Cook Islands and Solomon Islands.

Sport Minister Justine Tkatchenko saysthe Government is in full support oPNG Rugby Union making it big onthe international scene.

The official RugbyWorld Cup is currently being held bythe New Zealand All Beacks.
