Flash flooding in Oro

Flash flooding has hit many parts ofthe Nothern Province.

Authorities onthe ground say most ofthe wet crossings have been washed away living many people stranded.

However people are crossing raging rivers to get tothe town area.

There is no clean drinking water and threat of water borne disease is high, afterthe town’s dam was washed away.

Four houses nearthe border with Morobe have also been washed away, but no lives were lost.

The provincial government officials are assessingthe damage.
