Former Pacific MMI Lewas representative Helen Atai has created history in cricket.
Atai isthe first female umpire for the East Asia Pacific Region anPNG to officiate in an overseas tournament.
Currently onthe East Asia Pacific Development panel for this year, she was attendingthe Imparjar Cup as part of her EAP Umpiring scholarship.
She has been recognized for her umpiring skills after refereeing six matches.
Her achievement is hoped to inspire females inthe East Asia Pacific Region anPNG to start umpiring.
