ENB budget to strengthen Economic growth

East New Beitain Governor, Ereman Tobaining Junior saysthe K187 million budget for the Province is directed to strenthen economic growth for the next 10 years.

The money plan in 2013 sees an increase of over 70 million kina from last year’s.

Governor Tobaining saysthe budget will look closely at Strategic Result Areas to guide programs, resources allocation and implementation intothe areas of Governance, Primary Health Care, Economic DevelopmentoBesic Education,Infrastructure, Social Development,Land:obilization, HIV/AIDS, and Disaster Preparedness and Response.

Tobaining saysthe budget will also help in creating employment opportunities across all sectors of our provincial economy throughthe Small Medium Enterprise (SME).

He saysthe budget is structured to support direct resource allocation of 37%, an increase of 2% from this year, to Local-level Governments and Districts asthe institutions to drive service delivery

Budget is composed of three major expenditure categories of; Personnel Emoluments 39%, a decrease of 20% for this year, Goods and Services 19%, a decrease of 9% from this year and Development Budget from 14% this year to a massive 42% in 2013.
