The Gold Nuggets School Cricket Competition came to a close yesterday with the grand final decider between Ela Murray International and Korobosea International.
Ela Murray put on an impressive performance to defeat rivals Koroboro by five overs and win the title for the fourth time.
The Under 12 competition organised by Cricket PNG saw six international primary schools meet in the playoffs.
Ela Murray International’s Coach, Sri Bala, was happy with his teams performance saying their dedication and time put into training showed with the well-deserved win.
Jack Matthew and Mihir Sud were the two outstanding batsmen in the team, putting runs on the board in both innings.
Ela Murray, winning by 10 runs with five overs remaining, ran away with an impressive performance much to the delight of their parents and teachers.
